Web design agency in Ireland

We build custom websites for businesses anywhere in Ireland, and for businesses across Europe, from our base in New Ross, County Wexford. Most of the work happens the same way whether you are twenty minutes down the road or up in Donegal, and this page explains how, plus the handful of things an Irish website needs that a generic one tends to miss.

How it works when you are not local

We talk on a call

A first conversation on the phone or a video call, going through what the business does and what the site needs to achieve. Half an hour is usually enough to know whether it is worth going further.

You see the design before it is built

The design goes to you as something you can look at and pick apart. Changes at that stage cost nothing, which is exactly why we do it in that order.

You review the real site

Once it is built you get a private link and go through it properly, on your own phone and your own laptop. Nothing goes live until you have signed it off.

Changes stay a message away

After launch you email or ring and it gets done. Distance makes no difference to that part, and it is the part most people are dreading when they ask about it.

What an Irish website needs that a generic one misses

Plenty of website advice online is written for the American market and quietly does not apply here. These are the differences worth knowing about, whoever ends up building your site.

A .ie domain has a qualification step

Anyone can register a .com in a couple of minutes. A .ie is different: you have to show a genuine connection to Ireland before it is granted. Since the rules were eased in 2018 you no longer have to justify your claim to the particular name you want, but the connection requirement is still there, so allow for a short verification step rather than expecting it instantly. Plenty of Irish businesses hold both and point one at the other.

Where our clients are

We are in the south east, so there is a natural cluster of work around Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny and Carlow. The process above does not care about geography though, and we take on work from Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, as well as from businesses elsewhere in Europe.

If you are in Ireland, working with an Irish studio has practical advantages: the same time zone, somebody who answers during Irish working hours, and no need to explain what an Eircode is or why a consumer price should include VAT. If you are elsewhere in Europe, the working day overlaps comfortably and everything runs by call and email either way.

Wherever you are in Ireland

Tell us what the business does and what you need the site to do. We will come back with a straight answer.
